Minced Meat Puff Pastry Rolls

Ingredients
1 pack of puff pastry (ready-made, cut into squares)
500 g minced meat
1 medium onion (finely chopped)
2 garlic cloves (mashed)
Salt and black pepper to taste
½ teaspoon meat spices
Mozzarella or cheddar cheese (shredded)
1 beaten egg (for brushing)
Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish) Preparation
Filling:
Heat a pan over medium heat with a little oil. Add the chopped onion and sauté until soft.
Add the mashed garlic and stir for 1 minute.
Add the minced meat and cook well until all the liquid evaporates.
Season with salt, black pepper, and spices. Let it cook for another 2 minutes. Set aside to cool.
Assembling:
Roll out the puff pastry squares on a floured surface.
Place a spoonful of the meat filling in the center of each square and top with shredded cheese.
Roll the pastry into logs and repeat for all pieces.
Baking:
Place the rolls on a greased baking tray or one lined with parchment paper.
Brush the rolls with beaten egg.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C (392°F) for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
Serving:
Sprinkle with chopped parsley for garnish.
Serve hot with ketchup or mayonnaise on the side
