Spinach-Stuffed Meat or Chicken Roll


A golden-brown, oven-baked spinach-stuffed meat roll, sliced to reveal a flavorful filling of sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and melted Parmesan cheese. Served on a wooden cutting board with fresh basil leaves and a small bowl of sauce, set in a cozy, rustic kitchen atmosphere

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sun-dried tomatoes

  • 500g ground meat (or chicken)

  • 1 onion, chopped

  • 2 cups spinach leaves

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

  • ¼ cup fresh basil leaves

  • 3 tablespoons softened butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and prepare a deep baking tray.

  2. Soak the sun-dried tomatoes in hot water for 5 minutes, then drain them.

  3. In a bowl, mix the ground meat (or chicken) with onion, salt, and pepper. Knead well until the mixture holds together.

  4. Place the meat mixture on aluminum foil and flatten it into a rectangular shape.

  5. Arrange the spinach leaves, sun-dried tomatoes, grated Parmesan, and basil in the center.

  6. Roll the meat mixture into a log, securing the edges, and brush it with butter.

  7. Wrap the roll tightly in aluminum foil and place it in the oven.

  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until fully cooked.

  9. Remove from the oven, let it rest for a few minutes, then slice and serve
